Health and Safety Information
Last updated: August 11, 2022
ASHP will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all participants attending the 2022 National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference. COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States are effective at protecting people—especially those who are boosted— from getting seriously ill, being hospitalized, and even dying. As with other diseases, you are protected best from COVID-19 when you stay up to date with the recommended vaccines.
There will be no exceptions, religious, medical, or other. All onsite participants are required to upload proof of vaccination in advance before being allowed to receive their badge. You will not receive a badge without vaccination verification. A COVID-19 booster shot is strongly encouraged as extra protection.
ASHP will follow all national and local COVID-19 public health guidelines in place at the time of the meeting, including, if appropriate, masking and distancing protocols. We recognize that the COVID-19 situation is continually changing. We will continue to closely monitor, the latest available information to enable us to make appropriate decisions that are in the best interests of all involved in the meeting.
In addition, ASHP is in close coordination and having ongoing conversations with the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago, and airline and travel industry liaisons. ASHP is committed to compliance with all applicable requirements imposed by federal, state, and local health authorities in connection with the location of the applicable in-person ASHP meeting or event. Information about COVID-19 for travelers and tips for prevention are available on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) website.
With protocols changing frequently, please continually review the hotel's website for the most up-to-date health/safety guidelines and practices.
NOTE: Hotel amenities and services may also be limited or reduced to maintain health and safety guidelines and best practices. Be sure to check with your hotel directly prior to arrival.
ASHP strongly encourages everyone to register for the meeting in advance. Online registration will be available throughout the meeting.
